Gandy Dancer

The poetry editors of SUNY Geneseo's Gandy Dancer swing by the studio to talk about the process of editing the SUNY-wide magazine, the challenges involved with a rotating staff, and their favorite poems. We also get a chance to hear each read a sample of their work.

About the Editors:
Evan Goldstein is a poet and photographer from upstate New York. He is currently a senior at SUNY Geneseo, where he manages the state university-wide journal Gandy Dancer. Having traveled America by car once, Evan wishes he could rely on hopping freight trains as a post-grad plan, though he’ll probably move to a city and look for a job instead.

Kallie Swyer is a senior English Creative Writing major at SUNY Geneseo, and is the Poetry Editor for the upcoming issue of Gandy Dancer. She has been published in Gandy Dancer twice, and was recently awarded Geneseo's Mary Thomas Award in Poetry.

Noah Mazer is a sophomore English Creative Writing major at SUNY Geneseo. He is the Art Editor, and a Poetry reader for issue 5.2 of Gander Dancer, and is mildly concussed at the moment.

Lily Codera is a junior English Creative Writing and Geology double major at SUNY Geneseo, with a minor in Philosophy. She is a poetry reader for issue 5.2 of Gandy Dancer and will also be a managing editor for the journal next year.
