WAYO seeks designs for 2024-25 Fundraiser Swag!

Rochester designers, artists, illustrators, doodlers, sketchers, and finger-painters alike... We're looking for designs for this year's WAYO fundraising campaign perks, including a bumper sticker, T-shirt, tote bag, and water bottle! The submitted designs will be voted on by WAYO DJs and the winning designs will each receive a $150 honorarium, a WAYO swag pack including the items with their design on it, and their design will be proudly worn and repped by WAYO listeners worldwide!

It's that time of the year again... WAYO's show application form for the Fall/Winter 2024 programming season is now OPEN!

WAYO's mission is to highlight local arts and culture by bringing new sounds and underrepresented voices to the Rochester airwaves. If you've ever had an idea for a radio show, now's your chance to make it happen!

No prior experience is necessary, our team of volunteers will train you and equip you with everything you need to execute your show concept. All we need is YOU!

Sunday 8/11 - WAYO Benefit Record Fair + Second Chance Art Sale!

The WAYO Benefit Record Fair + Second Chance Art Sale, hosted by Needle Drop Records and Flour Pail Kids, is THIS SUNDAY (8/11) at Radio Social (20 Carlson Rd) from 11am - 4pm. The event is FREE and open to the public and will feature over 40 different vendors with thousands and thousands of records, CDs, tapes, other media AND tons of discounted art from local artists!

Celebrate ROC Pride with WAYO's Pride Community Playlist!

July is pride month in Rochester and WAYO is proud to be marching in the Rochester Pride Parade this Saturday, July 20th! Starting at 11am, coinciding with the start of the parade, WAYO will be broadcasting a special Rochester Pride Community Playlist, and we want to hear from you -- What songs do YOU think exemplify pride, and why? WAYO remembers Gretchen "G" Arnold

We are saddened to share that one of our DJs, Gretchen "G" Arnold, has passed away. Gretchen was an incredibly talented artist, photographer, and teacher in the Rochester arts community, and their show The ClipBoard was a fixture at noon on Mondays for many years on WAYO, along with their trusty companion Studio Katt (who always knew just the right thing to say).
