Come on down to the WAYO Studio (https://wayofm.org/location) this Friday (11/7) from 5pm til midnight for our Fundraiser Finale Party and Open House! Meet your favorite WAYO DJs, take a tour of the studios, and enjoy complimentary food + refreshments from a number of our WAYO membership partner businesses (like Pizza Wizard, The Red Fern, Voula's, and more) while we watch the fundraiser total tick up towards our $25k goal.
Aaaaaand just like that, WAYO's annual fundraiser is here again! We've been broadcasting at 104.3FM for almost TEN years now thanks to your support, so we're asking for your help to raise $25k over the next two weeks to keep it going into 2026 and beyond.
WAYO is run entirely by 150+ volunteers and no paid staff, so you can be sure that your donations are going directly to repair equipment, expand capabilities, and all the things that keep all 90+ shows on the air each week.
We're super excited to be sponsoring this year's 2025 ImageOut LGBTQ+ Fall Film Festival! The festival kicks off on Thursday, October 9th and runs through Sunday, October 19th, and will feature more than 30 narrative, documentary, and short films that celebrate queer folx and their identities and stories. There's just over one week left to submit designs for our 2025-26 WAYO Art Contest! We are looking for artists to submit designs for this year's fundraiser T-shirt, hoodie, and bumper sticker. We are so excited to be sponsoring this year's M&T Bank Clothesline Art Festival! This year's event will take place at the Memorial Art Gallery, 500 University Ave, on Saturday 9/6 + Sunday 9/7 from 10am - 5pm each day and will feature over 300 incredible artists from around the country displaying their artwork for sale, along with food trucks, music, and kid-friendly interactive crafts at the MVP Family Fun Zone.
It's back for another year, the 2025 WAYO Benefit Second Chance Art Sale + Record Fair! Or is it the Record Fair and Art Sale? Record Sale and Art Fair? We'll let you choose your own adventure, but make sure to join us at Radio Social on Sunday, August 10th from 11am - 3pm for an incredible assortment of record vendors and artists selling discounted pieces, along with WAYO DJs spinning tunes! This event is the perfect way to spruce up your house AND record collection before the darkness of fall returns!
Join us for the second year of WAYO's ROC Pride Community Playlist! We want to know what songs you think exemplify Pride, and why! Leave a voicemail at 585-203-9296 option 5 (or text in, but voicemail is preferred!) with your name, chosen song, and why you chose it. Then tune in during the ROC Pride Parade on Saturday, July 19th from 11am-1pm as we air everyone's songs and messages. We will also put a recording of the playlist on WAYOFM.org after it airs so you can listen back whenever you like.
