WAYO 2024 Fundraiser kicks off!

WAYO's 2024 fundraising campaign kicks off on Friday, October 27th, 2023! With nearly 90 shows on the schedule and 150 volunteer DJs and show hosts, WAYO enters its eighth year of operations, none of which would have been possible without the support of our listeners and donors. We're putting out a LAST CALL for the FALL batch of show applications, so get your application in by Monday, September 4th to be considered. Simply visit, click the "Be a DJ" button, and fill out the show application form.

Sunday Record + Art Fair a Success!

WOW - we're still reeling from Sunday's Record Fair + Second Chance Art Sale at Radio Social (and our PERFECT spot in front of #thatradiowall ). A huge thanks to Needle Drop Records and Flour Pail Kids for putting the event together, as well as Croix, Chores , and Aweful Kanawful for providing live tunes out back. There was so much amazing #ROC creativity everywhere you looked!

The Sound of Tomorrow's 500th Show Celebration & Fundraiser!

You’re invited to a party celebrating 500(!) episodes of WAYO’s The Sound of Tomorrow show at Photo City Music Hall on Thursday, December 15th! All proceeds from the benefit event will be split evenly between Roc Food Relief and WAYO. Hosts Ross Johnson & Heather Zajkowski along with Announcer Mike will be joined by local DJs MK Ultra, the 45 Kid, and DJ Dresden, as well as a performance by Mantra. Comedians Ilhan Ali, Michael Colòn, Luc Thiers will provide the laughs.

WAYO Record Fair was a BLAST!

Tali + Lili staffing the WAYO merch table!

WOW -- we can't believe how much fun we had at the WAYO Benefit Record Fair at Lux Lounge this past Sunday. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us and buy records, and an even BIGGER thanks to Russ from Needle Drop Recordsfor organizing the fair, getting raffle prizes, coordinating vendors... we can't thank you enough. The fair helped raise over $1500 for WAYO -- that's enough to run WAYO for a whole month and then some!
