I took a sharp turn from last week's darkness towards 'Beautiful Music', my take on the EZ Listening genre of the post war boom of the late 40's-mid 1970s. It was an era when Americans had more leisure time to relax and enjoy, additional expendable income to buy new HiFi and Stereo equipment, and musicians and record labels were able to experiment and push the boundaries of sound, as well as what 'popular music' could be. This is stuff dreams are made of, and I've admired and collected these records for years! I hope this solid hour of Radio Power relieves some of the angst and confusion we might be collectively experiencing right now!
