I started out in radio at the age of 5 when my folks gave me their unwanted portable tape recorder. This thing was pure magic. It had a built-in microphone, a collapsable handle, and all the sound quality you would imagine a 1982 Panasonic cassette recorder to have. I recorded semi-regular "radio" shows on that thing in which I usually portrayed a DJ inexplicably named Bob Morillo. I would tell off-color jokes, sing songs, complain about my brother, and report the weather. I still have some of the recordings.
The fact that I get to do a weekly show here on WAYO will never stop being the raddest thing.
I was born to be an awkward radio dj.
