Magic Records 5 15 2025 - Magic Explorers Room

 

Set one is kind of a loving ode to WFMU's Explorers Room with Flashstrap. I begin with some esoteric exotica, travel through William S. Fischer touched spirtual jazz and funk, traverse over and under some dub, and traipse through the wooly Swampdogg Swampland of southern soul. Following the break and NY Mets update I check out a new track from Lemon Twig Brian D'Addario's new LP, and make several street car stops at some wonderful moments of 60's and 70s pop, rock, and soul. It's a journey well worth taking! All you need is an hour and a dream.
