I've got a 'thing' for off-beat pop, rock, soul, jazz, R&B, C&W, EZ listening, and all the sub-genres...primarily from the 1950's-80's.  I smoosh it all together and that's Magic Records.  If you don't like what you're hearing, wait 5 minutes.  Currently my show is scheduled on Wednesdays from 8pm-9pm.     I begin with tributes to both recently departed guitarists Steve Cropper and Phill Upchurch of Stax/Volt and Chess/Cadet respectively.  Two of the most important guitarists of 1960s Soul, R&B, Pop, and Blues recordings!  I add some Xmas magic also featuring Cropper/Upchuch, and Sun Ra!  A short live piece from the Bitchin Bajas, plus some blistering post punk, and Dave 'Baby' Cortez and his Whistling Organ.  This is my last live show for December.  I have subs and archive shows to cover the next three weeks.  I'll be back live in January.

    I played some happy goodtime music to bake pies or whatever you are doing to prep for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow....even if it's just gathering the strength to endure another Thanksgiving dinner with your family. I personally love my family and have a lot to be thankful for including my listeners and the ones who donated generously to WAYO last week and help us exceed our goal.
