90% Of Me Is You; Bridges of African Music

A bridge is a structure built to span physical obstacles. Music was developed and built to span the physical boundaries of this mortal coil, as well as the meanderings of a migrant humanity. African music and its structure is a root stock of many other musics. Showcased here is an exhumation of Afro-centric music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, as well as a presentation of contemporary rhythms and beats. Soulfully exemplified by artists such as Mulatu Astatke and the Heliocentrics, Dr. No, Le Super Borgou de Parakou, Walter Dhlamini, Hailu Mergia and the Walias, and many more.
