  • Episode 315: Golden Record Aired: Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Space Cadets, HZ here. So, the record wasn't the thing with the drawing of the naked people on it; the naked people are on the Pioneer Plaques from the Pioneer 10 and 11 launches. So, yeah, I'd been saying a plaque would be less weird! And I was right! BUT--credit where it's due, I'm not the one who just wanted the entire damned Voyager documentary AND bought his husband a replica of the golden record (The Sounds of Earth, it's called, turns out. Have fun building your Crosley replica, extraterrestrials!) so, ummm. ANYWAY! Today we're coming at you with Space News!

  • Episode 314: Thanksgiving 2018 Aired: Wednesday, November 21, 2018

Happy Thanksgiving, Space Cadets! In today's very special cornucopia grab bag, Heather's in full critter mode and can't even play her favorite Celibate Commandos Thanksgiving carol and Ross is busy blowing up the internet with his wild talk about how it's actually going to be ok if George R. R. Martin never wraps up that Game of Thrones thing he's been doing! Also: stochastic terrorism and tips for sprucing up your TG feasty festive table! Ughhh....

TMBG DAS: "Dunkin Of Course of Course."

  • Episode 313: Betty White at WAYO! Aired: Wednesday, November 14, 2018

Ah, it's winter, Space Cadets..... BUT--after a brief paeon to the joys of snow and a remembrance of Stan Lee, our little hearts warm up as Betty White joins us in the WAYO studios! Due to contractual obligations, she's unable to actually speak on the air but, wow, she is sooo sweet and we really enjoyed having her there! And she really liked how we were talking about SCIENCE! That's right: we got alien probes, we got Neanderthals, we got Bone Science (Ross! Stop giggling!), and we got the kilogram! Planck challenge, anyone?

    TMBG DAS: Ampersand

  • Episode 312: Catching Up Aired: Wednesday, November 7, 2018

We're back in the WAYO LP Rochester studios for an all new Sound of Tomorrow! Since it's been a while, we're doing  some catching up but you better believe we've got some voting talk and a few good tirades! That plus news from Rhode Island and several HOT PICKS! BTW--The Coasters did "Charlie Brown." Thanks for texting that over, John, and sorry we didn't see it during the show!

TMBG DAS: I've Been Seeing Things

  • Episode 310: DJ Halloween HZ 2018 Aired: Wednesday, October 24, 2018

Space Cadets! While Ross and I are back on the Spacebridge preparing for new week's Spooktacular 2018, please enjoy this Halloween spooky song DJ mix I put together just for YOU! • Episode 309: Luc Thiers Aired: Wednesday, October 17, 2018

Space Cadets, it's our first show of the 2019 WAYO fundraiser and we have a very special treat for YOU! Can you see him? No? Then I'll just tell you it's comedian Luc Thiers! We're so glad to have Luc with us today to kick off the fundraiser in fine style!  And do some push ups, too! We're doing challenges, we're singing songs, we're Chatting Cats (Luc's cat Coco is sooo cute!)! Luc has some gigs coming up! 10/18--Record Archive, the Halloween Comedy Olympics Roast Battle, 6:30-8:00 pm and Comedy Karaoke at The Carlson on October 26, 7:30-9:30. Go see him because he is great!

  • Episode 308: Duuude Aired: Wednesday, October 10, 2018

Duuuuuude, the Sound of Tomorrow has gone completely off the rails this week and, really, isn't it about time? In this fractured episode, we're talking about Alaska's fattest bears and how Heather yearns to be one, we're talking 'bout wild vacations, we're talking about book. Then, holy heck, could it be time for the TMBG DAS already! Why yes, it is!  "Flo Wheeler" here to entertain and mystify! The second act brings a wee little voting reminder and lots of great advice for raising your children courtesy of Slate.com and two childless individuals. Phew.... did we mention we're tired?

  • Episode 307: Goblin Boop Boop Aired: Wednesday, October 3, 2018

Welcome, Space Cadets, to an entirely off the rails and completely new Sound of Tomorrow! This one is great because we kick it off in classic SoT style talking misogyny, rape culture, and voting but, after the TMBG DAS, we're onto a segment we call "Fun Stuff We Promise!" And fun it is.... we got space junk, we got junk junk, we got Pluto in a fancy dress strutting their planet stylee, we got new friends for Planet Pluto out there plus a Mars Rover Dream Date Candidate! Plus books! How do we even do it?!

TMBD DAS: "Thankful for Your Service."
