This month Luz Verde NY ( Green Light NY ) is explored with Alianza Agricola, a group of undocumented Western NY farmworkers and allies organizing to obtain limited purpose driver's licenses statewide.
Similar to a dozen other states, a limited purpose driver's license is State issued and an accepted form of ID that can also be used to legally operate and insure a vehicle. It is not accepted for federal purposes, such as flying, entering federal buildings, or voting at any level.
Recent West Irondequoit Highschool graduate and current MCC student Colin Shellard joins to look at his movies, music, and creative processes. Screenwriting, media literacy, artistic approaches, and unexpected video art are delved into throughout the hour.
