  • Episode 176: Anger Issues Aired: Wednesday, March 9, 2016

OOH GURL! Have we got a show for you! After a visit from America's next radio drag superstars Coco Schell and Charmin LeCloud, we're off to the races with a pupdate (both an update on pups and an update on a date with pups) and a RuCap (yeah yeah RDR Season Premiere, hunties!). To balance out the levity, we're sure to bring it waaaaay back to Earth with a discussion of this study--http://psycnet.apa.org/psycinfo/2015-39675-001/ --about how women's anger is perceived.

  • Episode 175: Lost in Emoticons Aired: Wednesday, March 2, 2016

Oh boy..... Space Cadets, we're sorry. Both your hosts are super-hungry during this episode and, well, things go a little bit off the rails.... Especially with that Heather. Jeesh. Hungry or not, they're trying their best kicking it off with a pupdate and segueing seamlessly (ahem) into the news. The Squires of the Subterrain (The Official Band of the Sound of Tomorrow) provide the break music and they're back discussing beauty and..... pants. They promise they'll eat before next week's show.

  • Episode 174: The Hurt Feelings Form Aired: Wednesday, February 24, 2016

In this exciting episode, we're filing paperwork! Once the Tees are crossed and Eyes are dotted, we're off to the races with a pupdate and a distinctly podcasty discussion about sad vegetarians. A little KooKoo Boy brightens it up and then we're back with some alone time discussion, gender tax evasion, and superheroes of size celebration! You can tell we're all on some form of cold medicine on today's all new Sound of Tomorrow.

  • Episode 173: Snowzilla 2016 Aired: Wednesday, February 17, 2016

Who needs a theme song anyway? You gals know it's the Sound of Tomorrow! In this exciting episode, Heather's sicker than sick but driving the console, Ross is awaiting his first day of puppy school, and both those gals lived through Snowzilla 2016. Plus---what not to say to your trans friends and a little follow up on last week's discussion of gender neutrality! If you need us, we'll be out snowblowing...

  • Episode 172: Valentine's Day 2016 Aired: Wednesday, February 10, 2016

In this episode of the Sound of Tomorrow, we kick it off with a little ukulele twang and head right into the Valentine's Day appropriate topic of gender politics. What would YOU do if you gave birth to a neutral? It's all right here on the Sound of Tomorrow, featuring music from Rochester's own superstars Nod.

  • Episode 171: The Decluttering Challenge Aired: Wednesday, February 3, 2016

After a quick Pupdate (portmanteau: Puppy Update), the results are in from the SoT Decluttering Challenge! Heather and Ross are both winners since their clothes are much much happier now. Rochester's own Dog's Life provides the break music and they're back with a little bit of lady business courtesy, of course, of Ross.

  • Episode 170: Puppy Fever Aired: Wednesday, January 27, 2016

In this all new, doobie-doo, true blue, babies we love you episode of the Sound of Tomorrow, we've got PUPPY FEVER! No, not allergies! Ross and his husband Announcer Mike are now officially Puppy Parents and little Ludovic and Illyana are putting their daddies through the cuteness wringer. Awww! If you're even standing after all that adorableness, come have a seat on The Casting Couch where Ross and Heather are talking about casting decisions they find questionable. A woman as Frank N Furter? Hmmmm. A white guy as Michael Jackson? Double hmmmm.

  • Episode 169: DJ Chris G! Aired: Wednesday, January 20, 2016

In this exciting episode, DJ Chris G from Straight from the Underground 2.0 (sftu.podomatic.com) stops by the WAYO studios to chat with Ross and Heather. We're talking radio, hip-hop, DJ-ing, Rochester talent, and, um, comics. The hour goes quickly when we're having so much fun!

  • Episode 168: Bowie, Etc. Aired: Wednesday, January 13, 2016

This week's Sound of Tomorrow starts off a bit somber as we discuss David Bowie's untimely passing. As you might imagine, this week's been rough on The Babe With The Power but Ross is there to help her through it. "I Can't Give Everything Away" from Bowie's latest *Blackstar* is today's music break and then we're back with a lighter topic: a continued discussion of Marie Kondo's theory of decluttering. The challenge is set and we'll report the results on February 3! We finish out the show with a little science news and that is that.

Thank you, David Bowie. May you rest in peace.

  • Episode 167: Something Interesting Aired: Wednesday, January 6, 2016

In this exciting episode, it's a new year and a new challenge as Ross and Heather embark on another episode of The SoT Book Club! This week, they'll be reading Marie Kondo's "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" and next week they'll decide upon a decluttering challenge. Rounding out Act 1, Ross and Heather discuss the nature of podcasting versus radio and introduce the show a bit for those just tuning in on FM radio. Act 2 starts off with some follow up from Heather about her experience with the Just Not Sorry app from last week and ends with some Menninist silliness reported by Ross.
