Past Episodes

  • Episode 469: Wow Aired: Wednesday, June 1, 2022

We're on a bit of a whiplash in today's new Sound of Tomorrow! We kick it off light and fun with a tale of Road Trip Adventure and somehow segue seamlessly (ahem) into a discussion of some gun statistics. Toward the end of the episode, Ross cites a number of the sources he references but here's the NPR one mentioned most frequently: https://www.npr.org/2022/05/27/1101774780/gun-control-debate-statistics.

  • Episode 468: Soup For Life Aired: Wednesday, May 25, 2022

Things you'll learn on today's Sound of Tomorrow (in no particular order):

    1. Your car wants to kill you.
    2. Don't lick pus sacs. Sacks? Play it safe and don't lick either. Don't lick any buboes while you're at it, too, ok?
    3. We put a salad bar on the moon. You're welcome.

  • Rerun: Independence Day 2019 Aired: Wednesday, May 18, 2022

Happy 4th, everyone! Hope you're not hiding under the sofa from the fireworks but, if you are, we've got something to block out the noise: this here Sound of Tomorrow! Kicking it off clumsily but getting in gear talking about ways to slow down the perception that time is flying. After that? A fun drinking game proposal for if you watch the rally, um, parade from DC tomorrow! After the music break during which you'll enjoy The Incredibly Moses Leroy doing "The Fourth of July,: we're back talking TV. That's right--only TV. Not abortion news. Nope. Not that.

  • Episode 467: Acute Angle Aired: Wednesday, May 11, 2022

Goodness me, it's a new Sound of Tomorrow! We're staring  off light with a tale of The Thing In Heather's House and a little disaster preparedness. Apparently Ross knows everything there is to know about radioactivity and space weather but it's all news to Heather. Then our very level-headed, fact-based discussion of reproductive rights devolves quickly into frenzied screaming. It's fun! We promise!

  • Episode 466: Brindle Wolverine Aired: Wednesday, May 4, 2022

Another week, another Sound of Tomorrow right here for you! In this exciting episode, we've got thoughts on a commercialized Eid, we're talking about search engines and personal information online, there was some other topic in there, and we're giving out all our cooking secrets!

  • Episode 465: Mummy Hand Aired: Wednesday, April 27, 2022

We've got all the tea on today's new Sound of Tomorrow, if the tea you're looking for is T as in Trans kids and TSA! (These are separate topics, BTW.) I didn't sleep at all last night so, if we talk about anything else, I have no idea what it was!

  • Episode 464: Sleeping in Light Aired: Wednesday, April 20, 2022

In this exciting new Sound of Tomorrow, Heather definitely has something in her house! We've been poisoned! Dot com! And what do you think happens when your room is too light? Trust us, it's bad.

  • Rerun: Pao De Queijo Aired: Wednesday, April 13, 2022

Mmmmm..... Brazilian cheese buns sure do sound good, don't they, Space Cadets? You know who will never know if they are? We won't!!! Because someone stole the tapioca flour (and the battery-operated Christmas candles) off my porch. That's right--HZ here hankering for a hunk of Pao De Queijo, forever unfulfilled. But there's joy and light! Because we're talking theft on today's new SoT but we're also talking friendship and books Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to send Ross a Snapchat of the cute thing Nigel is doing right now.

  • Episode 463: Nice Axe Aired: Wednesday, April 6, 2022

This week on the Sound of Tomorrow, we have some ghosts to talk about, we've got gay stuff, and we round out the show with a few radio HOT PICKS! Also, we both completely forget how to speak a number on times throughout the program. Ai.

  • Episode 462: Butter Lambs Aren't Real Aired: Wednesday, March 30, 2022

On this week's new Sound of Tomorrow, we're talking grocery store adventures, were talking about scams, especially the Oil Rig Scam, and we have some tips on how to be respectful to people who use wheelchairs. Tip No. 1: Say "Hello."
