They've all been trying to frighten me. They've been trying to frighten me into being sensible, but they can't do it. Not now. Not yet. They've got to let me be as foolish as I want to be. I-I want to ride through the crowd. I want to- I want to go buy me a mink coat. And I'll buy you a beautiful present. And Mr. Hedges! I'll buy Mr. Hedges a little house. And it'll have rooms full of white orchids. And they've got to tell me that I'm much more wonderful than anyone else because, Nellie - Nellie, I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid of being just a morning glory. I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid.
I don't know who made this cassette.
I do know it came from Bennington College and was made in the early 1980's.
I grew up in Bennington VT and attended a few parties there around that time so maybe I found it or possibly my brother grabbed it, who knows?
The tape is low quality and in rough shape but has great songs on it!
Seven days and seven nights I dreamt a sailor's dream of me
You must sprinkle dust all around my bed You musta had a black cat bone
Inside your pretending Crimes have been swept aside
Til I wake you ghost. Let him walk down your hallway
Madness in the wind's got something to say
I've got a crystal ball and a divining rod Magnifying glass and a pack of dogs
Uncle Bill, well, he took ill, and they sent for me to come
Well, I had to pass by the old graveyard so I went on the run
Sounds in the Spirit of the Season
