Hosts Jim and Keven examine how "music makes the world go around" (and vice-versa), exploring and discussing relevant history, science, culture and more through the prism of music.
On today’s show we will try to answer that eternal question –“War…what is it good for?” Many musicians like Gene Autry, John Coltrane, John Fogerty, MC Hammer, Johnny Cash, Maynard Keenan and G. C. Cameron of the Spinners, all served in the United States military. Some, like Tony Bennett, saw brutal combat before beginning a successful music career. After recording the song “Tighten up” the R & B singer Archie Bell was drafted into the US Army and began serving in Vietnam.
