It's that time of year again... No, not tax time? What are you doing reading the episode title?! It's time for Ross to try to scam Heather again! But no worries.... we here at the SoT aren't terrific at scamming. But we sure are terrific at talking! So.... in the first part of the sow, we're talking about phone scams for reals, we're slagging on Millennials, and we're trying to figure out what the heck Flat Earthers really think is going on with the Earth! (Hint: we don't get it at all).
Girrrls! Girrrls!!! That's right. It's an all new Sound of Tomorrow with an especially amazing skit that HAS ITS OWN THEME SONG. Yessss! It's all downhill from there, really, but in the first half of the show, we're talking windpocalypse and puns and act two is all about email! And maybe a little bit about the last dodo on the internet.....
TMBG DAS: "This Microphone."*
*Lyric:
"Kindness is killing off my unfinished dreams
And walking away, just walking away"
See what I mean?
Beep boop beep boop, who is that handsome AI? Well, it's good old Ross Theta, beaming in to bring joy and cheer and aiiiiieeeee! Power down, young man. Power down. In this exciting episode of the Sound of Tomorrow, we're kind of all over the place even more than usual! Let's see how much I remember.... We're talking Facebook data, urban legends, Roseanne, dogs at the hockey game, funeral candy, the SoT All-Time Greatest Hymns Playlist, and what doctors *really* think of your WebMD searches! Phew. I think that's nearly accurate. Hm.
TMBG DAS: "Tick Tick Tick Tick"
All right, I'll admit, the title is just because we learned a new word today. In this all new, all true, all for you Sound of Tomorrow, Ross does indeed pass the feminism terms quiz with flying colors but ALSO, we're talking about Marlon Bundo! We do a Rupaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 3 finale recap! Ross continues his struggle with the idea of his own replicant! And there's even a little foreshadowing for next week. So tune in now!! Or I'll zap you with my Infinity Gauntlet!
TMBG Dial-a-Song song: "I Left My Body."
Space Cadets, tune in for this, the Sound of Tomorrow Pi Day Extravaganza! Where we're talking Pi, we're talking our favorite memories of learning about Pi, our favorite recipes for Pi and pie (can you believe Ross doesn't like a coconut cream pie?!), and we might even be THROWING a pie! Actually, nah, just kidding. Today's SoT is even BETTER! Act 1, we delve into some Unshelved Mysteries and Act 2 is a RuPaul ReCap which you will want to hear if only because we resurrected the old RR segment theme song! Now that's even better than Pi, right? Right.
TMBG DAS="Chip the CHiP"
Happy International Women's Day! In this all new Sound of Tomorrow, we're skitting it up with Oscars hijinks and naming the episode after an anonymous message we got at the beginning of the show!
Ooo, Space Cadets, we have a super fun show for you today as Michael Colón and Seth Schoenhardt join us in the WAYO 104.3 studios to talk about The Oscars! Rocket science! Comedy! Outmoded technology! Other stuff!
In the first half of this bits and bobs Sound of Tomorrow, we're talking about turmeric! Debunking the debunkers! Buried treasure! Trans friends! Other stuff! In the second hour, because we are who we are, we get into some more serious conversation discussing #WakandaTheVote and the #NeverAgain movement. But don't forget: there are some truly inspiring people taking action in the world. There's hope.
Today's They Might Be Giants' Dial-a-Song Song is "Jackie The Clipper!"
Happy Valentine's Day, Space Cadets! To celebrate this day of lurv, it's DJ Heather Zajkowski back in her echo chamber spinning all the saddest, most heartbreaking songs in her collection for YOU! What's your favorite saddest love song? Let us know! Email us at jimmyspaceboy@gmail.com or leave a voicemail at 585-542-5502!
Oh boy.... Space Cadets, I feel like we should apologize for this episode. You see, as he often does, Ross crawled into a random car for a nap but, this time, he chose the wrong car and now he's lost in space. Or, well, not lost.... we know where he is. But even the crack team of awesome WAYO techs are, as yet, unable to bring him home safely. So, in this exciting episode of the Sound of Tomorrow, pantsless and spinning, Starman Ross uses the last of his iPhone battery to call into the WAYO studios where Heather holds down the fort solo. What did we even talk about? NASA and stuff.
