Past Episodes

  • Episode 210: Talking Politics with Nick LeVasseur Aired: Wednesday, November 16, 2016

The political talk continues on this week's all new Sound of Tomorrow but fear not, Space Cadets! It's not just Ross and Heather howling in pain this week. This week, they're joined by local comedian and all-around nice smart guy Nick LeVasseur for a more tempered, more enraged discussion of what's going on in the US and some possible reasons why.

Music today from Little Jack Melody and His Young Turks with "America."

  • Episode 209: Politics Aired: Wednesday, November 9, 2016

Oh boy..... Space Cadets, did you hear there was this election the other day? Yeah.... so did we. And we're trying our best to make sense of it all. But it's hard. So, if you want to hear two people trying to grab for any kinds of tools they can get their hands on to understand what happened with the US Presidential 2016 election, this is the show for you.

If you're just looking for some good music, though, skip to the middle and enjoy "Genesee Queen" by Rochester's own The Fox Sisters!

  • Episode 208: Spooktacular 2016 Aired: Wednesday, October 26, 2016

[read this all in a creepy voice, ok?]

Greetings, Space Cadets! On today's bone-chilling Sound of Tomorrow, your spoooooky hosts Ross Johnson and Heather Zajkowski promise you thrills, and chills, and haunts galore! Tune in now for a plethors of all new, all-terrifying material plus Halloween chestnuts like The Undertaker, The Sound of Tomorrow Mash, and Halloween Night on the SpaceBridge. See you all in the cemetery at midnight!...... Hahahahahahahahaha!

  • Episode 207: Hilda Wozinowski Returns! Aired: Wednesday, October 19, 2016

Halloween is coming, Space Cadets, and something very strange has happened. We don't know how long-deceased original host of The Sound of Tomorrow Hilda Wozinowski got control of the microphones or where she found any of the music she's playing here. And we certainly don't know a single thing about all that nonsense she's spouting about Heather and some kind of sharp, shiny axe.

Despite the fact that this show was put together by some kind of mad ghost, though, it's a pretty good mix so..... BOO! Haunted radio show.....

  • Episode 206: Friendship Aired: Wednesday, October 12, 2016

This week on today's all new all fun all in the sun Sound of Tomorrow, the show where WE HAVE SWEET SMELLING HAIR AND MAD RADIO SKILLZ (Ross can change that when he starts posting these, ok? -- HZ), we're talking about...... friendship. And Mars.

Plus---an installment of Ross Johnson Presents Good Things That Are Good.

Aaaaaand..... a HOT PICK! If you wondered, the cards that crack me up are from SetEditions.com! Lord. I'm still laughing.

Music help from Nod with "Owe Love," a off their great album "Magnetic Anomaly."

  • Episode 205: Provocative Aired: Wednesday, October 5, 2016

Dag..... you know what word neither Ross nor Heather could spell right off the bat? That's right. Provocative! And they're both pretty decent spellers! And only a little smug-not-smug about being so! Good spellers or not, today they're back with the radio game bringing you provocative (lord, that spelling) topics and matters of love and hate.

Fun fact: when Heather was a kid, she thought that song "Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys was about Elvira, Mistress of the Night. Oom Poppa Oom Poppa Mow Mow, indeed.

  • Episode 204: DJ Ross Johnson Aired: Wednesday, September 28, 2016

Rocking it out old school nerd rock style, it's DJ Ross Johnson! Let's get to the music, shall we?

  • Episode 203: Con-Versations Aired: Wednesday, September 21, 2016

It's pretty much a tutorial on how to do good radio today, Space Cadets. We're bringing you some Cliffs Notes on what TO talk about on the radio (vacations you took, your dreams, that really good lunch you had) and what NOT to talk about (anything serious) and you can take those to the bank! Unfortunately, we can't. After some fun vacation chitter chatter, we break right into internet trolling. Not doing it! Just talking about it! Jeesh! We're not total monsters. Well, ok. We ARE. But, really.

Music today from The Veins with "Fallout Shelter."

  • Episode 202: DJHZ Returns! Aired: Wednesday, September 14, 2016

Yes! it's another DJ show with HZ in the house! She's wearing a top hat and not saying much so let's get to the music, shall we?

  • Episode 201: Cora Treoir Duncan! Aired: Wednesday, September 7, 2016

Ooh, Space Cadets, do we have a treat for you today! Joining Ross and Heather in the studio is musician, columnist, and (in her own words) magnificent mess Cora Treoir Duncan! We're talking music, trans issues, physics, the multiverse, you name it, and we need to have Cora back again soon because there's so much more to talk about! And more songs to sing and play, as well......

For now, though, how do you like our format changes? We want to know! Drop us a line at jimmyspaceboy@gmail.com or call us up at 585-542-5502!
